Future Hope

Hello, today my sister and I are doing a post together on Proverbs 23:18 which says:

“There is surely a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off.”

The first part of verse 18 says that there is a future hope for the people. It’s always nice to know that we have hope. If we have hope then we know that we can always count on something to help us. So we know that we will have future hope.

But what is the future hope? The future hope for us is Jesus. Even though Jesus has already died for our sins, we know that even if we fall to sin (which we will on this Earth) then we always can ask God’s forgiveness, and be forgiven. Jesus death on the cross for us covered all our sins.

Thanks to what Jesus has done, we are saved from our sins from the past, present, and future.

When Solomon says “and your hope will not be cut off” it is a reassurance that the hope we have been give, Jesus, will never be cut off. It will never be taken away from us! Jesus will never leave us or forsake us:

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”

Jesus will never leave us or forsake us, and that is an important thing to remember. We may stumble and fall, but God will never leave us or forsake us! His love is so great that He not only died to save us from our sins, but He is always there for us and He will never abandon us.

Sometimes when you are being tempted or you are in sin it may feel like God has abandoned you, it may feel as though He has been cut off from you. But if you turn your eyes to the Cross, you will always have God with you. And if you keep looking at the cross, God will help you with whatever your problem is!
